Andrew has completed a Master of Education in counselling at the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC), and he is a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). In addition to having experience counselling individuals across the age spectrum, his clinical focus is on supporting youth. Throughout his career, he has counselled hundreds of young people for struggles including, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, borderline personality disorder (BPD), relational trauma, relationship issues, and insomnia. He is committed to life-long learning, and he has received specialized training in several therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT). These evidence-based approaches provide him with a comprehensive toolkit to flexibly address the diverse needs of his clients.

Elena’s own journey through counselling was a guiding force in her decision to dedicate herself to the counselling profession. Her personal path not only instilled in her a deep understanding of healing but also fueled her desire to empower others through their own unique journeys. In her free time, Elena finds joy in cooking, drinking tea with cookies, hanging out with animals, and hitting the gym.

Clint is a certified clinical counsellor originally from Ontario, Canada, with over 22 years of experience teaching students K-12 in various settings. He has also spent the past 17 years working internationally in Taiwan and Saudi Arabia, gaining a deep understanding of different cultures and developing strong interpersonal skills. Clint provides counselling sessions for clients with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and relationship problems. He has experience counselling adults and youth and uses an integrative approach that incorporates trauma-informed, person-centred, and strengths-based therapies. Shya Harvey (she/her) has a Master of Education Counselling degree from the University of Northern BC and has an undergraduate degree in Social Work. Shya is a Registered Social Worker with the BC College of Social Workers (#15701) and is a Registered Clinical Counsellor.

I work with children, youth and adults from a compassionate Person-Centred and Trauma-Informed perspective, with a foundational belief in people’s capacity for change and recognition of the barriers of trauma, hurt and mistrust. My main role is to create a space of safety and trust for you to explore and understand your story in ways that allow you to see your own strength and resilience, while also offering opportunities for alternative perspectives.

I am experienced working with children, youth and adults who have experienced trauma, as well as anxiety, depression, grief/loss, relational trauma and addictions. I care deeply about the world of first responders and their families and have a deep passion for working alongside those navigating Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

I am passionate about holistic health and recognize the importance of culture and spirituality in comprehensive care. I am Metis on my father’s side, with my ancestry deeply rooted in the Swampy Cree Nation. While I am still navigating my own ancestral journey, it is a great honor to walk alongside others in theirs.

Jamie has a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology degree from Yorkville University and an undergraduate degree in Recreation Therapy with a minor in Psychology. Jamie is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. She was Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) and worked as a Recreation Therapist for five years. Jamie worked together with children, youth, and seniors using tailored activities to meet the individual’s specific needs.

Jamie’s experience as a Recreation Therapist provides her with an understanding of how significant it is to use individuality to develop a plan that meets a person’s specific and unique needs. Jamie recognizes the importance of a holistic approach to health and how multiple different aspects of an individual impacts their overall wellbeing. Cheryl is a dedicated professional with over 20 years of experience working with individuals and families. Throughout her career, she has provided support and guidance to those in need, helping them to achieve greater independence and success.

Cheryl’s early work focused on supporting people navigate the court system. She then moved on to working with and supporting young parents and then moved into adoption support. During this time she developed a deep understanding of the unique needs and challenges facing families in today’s world.

Later, Cheryl shifted her focus to working in the school system. For the past fifteen years, she has worked individually with children in classrooms, and then in parenting groups, helping them to develop strategies needed to take on the complexities of parenthood.

Cheryl’s passion for education led her to become a teacher, where she has continued to make a positive impact on the lives of her students. Due to her passion and experience, she decided to move into counselling. As a teacher and counsellor, she works closely with students and their families to provide support and guidance on a wide range of issues, from academic challenges to emotional and social well-being.

Throughout her career, Cheryl has demonstrated a deep commitment to helping others, and seeking out ways to meet the needs of individuals who she supports. Her commitment to working with individuals and families has led to a fulfilling career where she hopes to continue adding to her practice through experience and education.

Ishnoor is a registered clinical counsellor with BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (#20006). He holds a Master of Arts degree in Psychology and Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Counselling from Punjabi University in Patiala, India and a Master of Administrative Science in Global Health and Human Services Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Vancouver Campus.

Ishnoor has been working with children and youth since 2019, supporting young people in managing contemporary times and corresponding needs. Ishnoor uses a wide range of interventions and treatment strategies to facilitate positive change and contribute to overall well-being. In the course of his career, he has worked with the State Government of Punjab, in a project to prevent addiction in teenagers. He has also volunteered with Canadian Red Cross as Safety and Wellbeing Responder to natural disaster crisis situations in British Columbia and Yukon.
